Verna Marie Guidry, 88, a native and resident of Montegut, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Joseph Guidry and Marie Mary Hebert Guidry; two brothers, Lawrence and Morris Guidry; and two sisters, Leola Guidry and Laura Guidry.
She was a retired laborer with Chauvin Brothers and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
