She was a native of Houma, LA and recent resident of Hammond LA , and a lifelong resident of Bayou Blue LA.

She was employed with Texaco for 44 years.
She had a passion for Mardi Gras and was the second queen of the Krewe of Hyacinthians.
She also loved her cats, and most especially Grizzly.
She was an adventurous traveler. She toured by car throughout the continental United States and Canada, and also traveled through Europe.
