Claire Whitney Lottinger, 89, a native of New Orleans and long time resident of Houma, died at 8:18 AM Monday, March 19th, 2012.
Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:30am Wednesday, March 21 at the chapel in Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. A Liturgy of the Word will be held at 10:30am at Chauvin Funeral Home, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her sister Genevieve Darsey of Houma, by two daughters, Claire Downing of New Orleans and Gina Anthon of Hammond, by five sons, Eric Lottinger of Mandeville, Kenton Lottinger of Kenner, Michael Lottinger of Houma, James Lottinger of North Carolina and Timothy Lottinger of Houma and by many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip Luke Whitney and Claire Marie Tinney, her busband, Ellis Peter Lottinger Jr, and her five brothers, Philip, Bernard, Leo, Stephen and Donald Whitney.
She was a loyal parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral and a proud graduate of St. Francis Convent School, class of ‘39.
