Charles Allen Martin, 78, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 6:51 PM. He was a native of Martinsville, Miss. and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Also, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 8:00am to 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Houma. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Houma. Burial will be in Osyka Cemetery in Osyka Missisippi. Charles Martin is survived by, His Spouse: Joyce Martin of Houma LA, Sons: Charles Wendell Martin of LeCompte LA, and John Morris Martin and wife Alicia Martin of Hattiesburg Miss., Daughters: Pamela K. Martin of Walker LA, and Veronica Martin Ford and husband Rick Ford of Saint Pete Beach Fla., Brother: David Martin of Farmerville LA, Sister: Theresa Talley of Pasadena TX, and Grandchildren: Danielle Pierce, Melanie Poret, Christian Voisin, Garrett Voisin, and Austin Toups. Charles Martin was preceded in death by his Parents: Charles and Vera Martin, Son:Garth Allen Martin, and Brother: Albert Joseph Martin. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma. Charles was an avid sportsman, hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Dularge Hunting Club for many years.
