Philoman “P.J.” Joseph Boudreaux, Jr., 33, died Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11:15 PM. He was born in Abbeville, LA and was a current resident of Youngsville, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 8:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his, wife, Jona McMillan Boudreaux, Youngsville, LA, sons, Philoman Joseph Boudreaux, III, Ethan John Boudreaux, step daughter, Natalie Cecile Laborde, parents, Philoman “Felo” Boudreaux, Sr. and Charmon Reid Boudreaux, Houma, LA, brothers, Dale John Boudreaux and wife Nanette, Tate Paul Boudreaux and wife Barbara, sisters, Windye Boudreaux and Leslie Stansel and husband Jerry, grandparents, Delvin and Irene Boudreaux, nephews, Dale John Boudreaux, Jr., Dylan Brown, Rickye Brown, Dustin Brown, Bryan Betemps, Jr., Joseph Weatherford, Tyler Stansel, Brett Stansel, nieces, Kristye Porche, Charmon Williams, Bethlynn Brown, Sarah Lynn Boudreaux, great nephews, Bradley Betemps, Zachary Dassau, great nieces, Karlye Brown, Ricki Renee Brown, Joliegh Brown. He was preceded in death by his, brother, Rickye Lee Brown, nephew, Bradley Betemps, grandparents, Enoc and Theda Reid. Philoman began his baseball career while at Grand Isle High School. During this time he also played with the Bayou Boys in Lafourche Parish. After graduating high school Philoman attended Perkinson Junior College and the University of Mobile-Alabama where he continued his baseball career. After college he played professional baseball for the Rockies in the Mexican Baseball league and went on to play for the White Sox B Leaugue. He was an avid LSU sports fan and above all a very proud dad of all his children. His heart always lied with the Grand Isle High School baseball team where he first began playing baseball.
