Shirley Savoie Brunet, 82, died Saturday, February 4, 2012. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 9:00 AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Brunet, Jr. and wife Amy, Houma, LA, Jerome "Jerry" Brunet and wife Sharon, Houma, LA, daughters, Gayle Brunet Loupe and husband Donald, Houma, LA, Phyllis Brunet Babin and husband Morris, Houma, LA, grandchildren, Jason Loupe, Jeannie Loupe, Stephanie Brown, Joy Babin, Matthew Brunet, Luke Brunet, Shawn Brunet, Heather Brunet, great grandchildren, Brittany Brown, Angel Martinez, Dustin Pitre, Kenny Pitre and Evan Loupe. She was preceded in death by her, parents, Eugene P. Savoie and Mae Eschete Savoie, brother, Leroy "Brother" Savoie, sister, Una Savoie Crochet. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a bookkeeper for J.B. Tool Repair, Co. Inc. for fifty years. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Ladies Altar Society and the Houma Women's Bowling Association.
