Herman Courville

Herman Joseph Courville, 69, died Friday, February 3, 2012. He was a native of Eunice, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 9:00 AM until Service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. He is survived by his, Wife of 45 years, Cindy Fontenot Courville; Sons, Scott Courville, Chad Courville and wife Christine; Daughter, Jennifer Theriot and husband Terrill; Grandchildren, Grant Courville, Sydney Courville, Caroline Theriot and Adrienne Theriot. He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Joseph Courville and Laura Thibodaux Courville; Brothers, Chester Courville, Lester Courville, and Berton Courville; and Sister, Mary Lou Clark. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. After retiring from the oilfield, “Herm” established Southdown Bar and Grill. He was involved with CASA, and was recently named “Angel of the Year”. He enjoyed time with family, fishing, golfing, and sunsets at the camp. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Friend to many, he will be sadly missed by all. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CASA of Terrebonne or the American Heart Association.
