She married Jamsel (Jimmy) Vedros of Lutcher, Louisiana on May 18, 1946. She and her husband resided in Baton Rouge for a short time before moving to Houma in 1951. Affectionately known as “Totsie” by family members, she excelled at baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and embroidery. At 63 she started art lessons and became quite an accomplished artist. She served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Ladies Alter Society for Holy Rosary Church. She sang with Les Amis de la Chanson in its early years. A nurturing mother of six, she taught responsibility, independence, Christian values, and esteem for self and others.
A selfless person, our mom modeled self-discipline and was known for her ability to be a good friend and confidant and her willingness to share her nursing talents. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Mom, Ma, Maw Totsie, Momma...you are well loved by all who knew you.
