Francis Voisin

Francis Anthony Voisin, 63, died Friday, December 30, 2011. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Theriot, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, January 4, from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on at 11:00am at St. Eloi Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his, Brothers: Jerome Paul Voisin and wife Bobbie of Houma LA; Sisters: Dr. Judy Chauvin and husband Val Chauvin of Thibodaux LA; Dianna Voisin and husband Bruce Strahan of Chandler AZ; Dr. Catherine Wilde and husband Dr. Randall Wilde of Baton Rouge LA; Patricia Belanger and husband Darryl Belanger of Schriever LA; and Nessie Galliano and husband Steven Galliano of Baton Rouge LA; Nieces and Nephews:9; Grand Nieces and Nephews: 6; He had many numerous friends and godchildren; and his companion: Lynn Guidry. He was preceded in death by his, Parents:Wiltz Anthony and Velma Marie Voisin. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum. He was an avid fisherman and community leader. He was self employed at Le Magazin grocery store. He served on the Terrebonne Parish School Board for 14 years. He was head of the Civil Service Board for the Bayou Dularge Fire Department. He will be dearly missed.
