Carl Fredrick Bassham, 86, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 3:30 AM. He was a native of Huddy, KY and resident of Houma, LA. He is survived by his,wife of 60 years, Duple Grant Bassham of Houma, LA; Son, John David Bassham and wife Michelle Barron Bassham of Houma, LA; Son in Law, Donald Ray Webb of Monroe, North Carolina; Grandchildren, Michael Adam Bassham of Houma, LA; Kathryn Webb Correa of San Angelo, TX; Michelle Lee Webb of Clearwater, FL, Marian Olivia Webb Deaton of South Carolina; Allison Rae Webb of San Angelo, TX; Great Grandchild, Jacob Webb of South Carolina; He was preceded in death by his, Parents, John Harry and Olivia Bassham; Daughter, Linda Bassham Webb; Brother, James Harry Bassham; Sister, Hazel Bassham Hawthorne He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Carl was a member of The VFW and the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Senior Citizen Bridge Club in Concord, NC. and was an award winning bridge player. He was an avid fan of the Saints and University of Kentucky basketball. He loved life and loved being around family and friends. He was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather.
