Joseph Soudelier

Joseph Darcey Soudelier, 84, died Friday, December 16, 2011. He was a native of Bourg, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 9:00 AM until Service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his, Children, Chris Broussard and husband Mike, Deborah Eskind and companion Harry Scott and Merrill Scott all of Houma; Pam Cheramie and husband Glenn of Cut Off. 5 Grandchildren, Joe Eskind and wife Monica, Jamie "Crow" Eskind and wife Kim, Christy Poole and husband Jud all of Houma. Michelle Thibodeaux and husband Jacob of Bayou Blue; Jessie Cheramie and wife Jaime of Cut Off; 8 Great Grandchildren, Brittany Pellegrin, Justin, Taylor and Ashley Eskind; Gavin Scott, Lauren Adcock, Charley Poole and Brandon Thibodeaux; 2 Great great Grandsons, Bransen and Bryden Luke; Sisters, Edna Dubois, Margaret Rhodes, Patsy and Emma Bergeron; Brothers, Jeffery and Russell Soudelier. He was preceded in death by his, Wife, Rita Benoit Soudelier; Parents, William and Agnes Ledet Soudelier; Brothers, William, Henry, Jimmy and Morris Soudelier; Sisters, Josephine Soudelier and Mildred Vito; Son in law, Charles Eskind. He was a World War II Veteran that served in the US Navy. He was a retired mechanic with the City of Houma. He was an avid gardener and loved to fish. His kind heart and generosity touched many lives. He was always there to give a helping hand, he will be sadly missed by many.
