Eldred Francis “Burnt Leg” Ellender, 90, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 7:43 AM. He was a native of Bourg, LA and resident of Bourg, LA. Visitation will be held on from at Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church with burial in St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his, Companion: Aveline Theriot of Houma LA; Daughters: Karin Ellender Boquet and husband Russell of Bourg LA and Sheila Ellender Matherne and husband Glenn Sr. of Bourg LA; Grandchildren: Shawn Boquet, Russell Boquet Jr., Bridgette Dagenhardt, Tina Arcement, Angel Verdin, Darkus Prosperie, and Glenn Matherne Jr.; Great Grandchildren: Houston Boquet, Brandon Boquet, Brent Boquet, Britney Boquet, Dakota Dagenhardt, Hunter Dagenhardt, Lauren Arcement, Paige Arcement, Grace Arcement, Ange'le Black, Charles Verdin Jr., Eddie Verdin, Jovy Prosperie, Jordy Prosperie, Trey Matherne, and Colin Willis; Great Great Grandchildren: Gabby Boquet, Cooper Boquet, Cameron Trigg, Kenner Boquet, Isaiah Black, Aliyah Black. He was preceded in death by his, Spouse: MayBelle Ellender; Parents: Lee and Aglae' Ellender; Brothers: Edward Ellender, Albert Ellender, Lee Ellender, Ralph Ellender and Wilfred Ellender; Sisters: Hazel Williams, Leona LeBouef, Marjorie DeDeaux and Thelma DeDeaux. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. Owner of Amoco Service Station. “Pa Ellender” loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved to hunt and fish, and although he had only a sixth grade education, one of his passions was to read the daily newspaper from page one through the classified ads.
