Gene Paul Bonvillain, Sr, 66, died Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Friday, November 18, 2011 from 9:00 AM until Service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his, Wife,Darlene Callais Bonvillain; Children, Donavon Bonvillain, Stephanie Bonvillain Autin and husband Troy, Dominique Bonvillain and companion Neil Kelly; Grandchildren, Troy Autin, Jr, Ezra Walker, and Tawni Autin; Step Children, Tanya Smith and husband Rudy, Tiffany Thomas and husband Justin, Travis Bonvillain and wife Casey and Traci Bonvillain and companion Stephen Kelleher; Step Grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Juliette Smith, Lyla Thomas, Banner Kelleher, and Colton Bonvillain; Brothers, Clark Bonvillain and Allen Bonvillain; and Sisters, Mae Morgan, Marion Bonvillain and Betty Cosse'. Mother in Law: Ena Callais He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Hayes Louis Bonvillain, Sr and Hazel Leonard Bonvillain; Son, Gene "Peanut" Bonvillain, Jr; Twin Brother James David "Blackie" Bonvillain; and brother Hayes Bonvillain, Jr. Gene was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved spending time with his family. He was passionate about his job and always did the best for the people of Terrebonne Parish. He is going to be missed dearly.
