Bettie Robichaux

Bettie Jean Robichaux, 70, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at 6:35 PM. She was a native of Catahoula, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 8:00 AM until Service time at Chauvin Funeral Home Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery She is survived by her, Sons, Ricky Robichaux and wife Kim Robichaux of The Woodlands , TX, Jeff Robichaux and companion Michelle Hitt of Houma, LA, Brian Robichaux and wife Colette Robichaux of Houma, LA; Grandchildren, Madalyn and Aiden Robichaux; and Sister, Rosie and husband Hardy Paul of Jena, LA; She was preceded in death by her, Husband, Floyd Joseph Robichaux; Parents, Robert Howard McNeely and Ida White McNeely; Brothers, Ralph, Harold, Coleman, Jerry, and Larry McNeely; and Sisters, Estelle McNeely and Louise Taylor. Affectionately known as “Miss Betty” by hundreds of children and parents in our area, Betty Robichaux was the owner/director of Miss Betty’s Daycare for 28 years. Miss Betty loved her students like they were her own and took great pride in her business and the care and education of the children. Most importantly, Betty’s greatest accomplishment were her three sons and two grandchildren, whom she was lovingly “Mimi” to. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by all who knew her.
