He was a Member of the American Legion over 50 years where he served as Commander and Chaplain.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the United Veterans League.
He recived an Honorary High School Certificate from Govener Jindal.
He never met a stranger.
Enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren and making them laugh.
They left him the name of silly paw paw.
He loved to sing "You are my Sunshine" to all the kids and grandchildren.
He enjoyed making a garden and having the children help him gather the vegatables.
