Rudolph "Rudy" Joseph Liner, 76, a native and resident of Theriot, entered into eternal rest while in the loving care of his family at his home on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot. Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with interment immediately following in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his only child, Kelly Anne Liner Derouen; son-in-law, Uwell "Joey" Derouen III; one sister, Elrey Liner Lirette; three godchildren, Ann Lirette Adams of Morgan City, Al Lirette of Theriot and Matthew Bourg of Shreveport; special friend, Corine Paulk; former wife and mother of his only child, Marian Boudreaux Buquet; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by and the youngest of five children born in 1935 to his parents, Pearlie and Oliver Liner; two brothers, Alvin and Randolph Liner; one sister, Hilda Liner Lirette; two brothers-in-law, Johnny and Albert Lirette; one sister-in-law, Merle Liner, all of Theriot; and his grandparents, Walker and Bertha Adams Lovell, and Henry and Angelic Thibodaux Liner.
He enjoyed commercial fishing, trapping, hunting, cooking, raising cattle, spending quality time with his family and friends, and was a member of the Louisiana Cattlemen and Lafourche Association. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church in Theriot.
