Frank "Mickey" Konieczka, 54, a native of Houma and resident of Royal, Ark., died at 3 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, with his deeply loved and devoted wife, Julie, and his treasured sons, Dustin and Justin, who were his world, at his side.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Thibodeaux Konieczka; two sons, Dustin Michael and Justin Allen Konieczka; he is loved and sadly missed by his beloved mother and friend, Mildred "Millii" Autin Cleckler; one brother, Stephen Paul Konieczka and wife, Cathi Portier Konieczka; two sisters, Dianne K. Bonvillain and husband, David Bonvillain, and Dr. Anita K. Heck.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vern "Eddie" Konieczka; his stepfather, Doyce "Cleck" Cleckler; his maternal grandparents, Gibson Autin Sr., Felicia Dufrene Autin and Augustine Pizanni Autin; and his paternal grandparents, Frank Michael Konieczka and Alice Klonowski Konieczka.
He will be missed by his friends, especially Marty Rohlfs and Jim Terrell. He was a dedicated father and husband and excelled as a son, brother and friend. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
