James "Jim" Hugh Smith

James "Jim" Hugh Smith, 72, a native of Morgantown, Ind., and a resident of Houma, died at 3:45 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetary in West Terre Haute, Ind., at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Imogene Jeffers Smith; three sons, James Smith and wife, Venita, Frank Smith and wife, De Ann, and Randy Smith and wife, Terri; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Smith and Elizabeth Shepard Smith; one daughter, Katherine Smith; one brother, Robert Smith; and five sisters, Patsie Harris, Edna Wilkerson, Margaret Poore, Nellie Pipper and Loretta Slavens.
