Ermalee Evelyn Sweet Babin, 85, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 9:00 PM. She was a native of El Dorado, AR and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God Church. A graveside service will be held at Bethel Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas at a later date. She is survived by her, husband, Leland Luke Babin, Houma, LA, son, Walter "Dub" Staggs and wife Kathleen, Charlotte, NC, daughters, Jane Pennington and husband Ray, Alexander, AR, Sue Perry-Babin and husband Ricky, Houma, LA, Karry Babin and husband Ronald, Richmond, TX, spouse's son, Randel Babin, Jacksonville, FL, spouse's daughter, Robin Babin, Tallahassee, FL fifteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, parents, Walter Mack Sweet and Carrie Thomas Sweet, son, Barry McCutcheon, daughter, Debra McCutcheon Reyes, brothers, Kenneth W. Sweet, Walter Roy Sweet, Woodrow W. Sweet, sisters, Allie Tolliver, Thelma Randolph, Lola Mae McCutcheon. She was a member/parishioner of First Assembly of God Church. She was an LPN and retired from the Veteran's Affairs. She was a member of the Eastern Star. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Eastern Star Order of Arkansas, 609 Nolia Avenue, El Dorado, Arkansas 71730, or the First Assembly of God Church, 205 N. Van Avenue, Houma, LA 70363.
