Thelma Marie Daigle Davidson, 89, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, Louisiana went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 9:30AM until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Christian Burial will follow in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery.
She is survived by One Daughter, Gwendolyn Talbot and husband Billy;
Two Grandsons, W.J. Talbot and wife Monica, and Charles “Chuck” Talbot;
One Great Grandson: William Talbot, IV;
One sister, Gloria Marcello and husband, Ray;
One brother, Milton Daigle and wife Beverly;
Many special nieces, nephews and their families and four devoted caregivers,
Sherry Cantrelle, Kathy Lapeyrouse, Lonnette Lusco and Cathy Schirtler.
She was preceded in death by her,
Loving and Devoted husband of 68 years, Charles H. Davidson;
her parents, Frederick J. Daigle and Priscilla Bergeron Daigle;
two brothers, Fred and Warren Daigle;
four sisters, Virgie Junot, Dorothy George, Arlette Toups and Mae Thibodeaux;
Grandparents, Joseph Daigle, Marie Adou, Franklin Bergeron and Virginia Guerrin.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
She was a meticulous housekeeper, a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic daughters and Altar Society and a retired officer and bookkeeper of Davidson Hardware.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Terrebonne Parish Library or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff of the Homestead Assisted Living Facility and the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their excellent professional care.
