Tyriek Selah Javel Gregoire

God needed an angel on his team so he called Tyriek Selah Javel Gregoire, 13, home and into his loving arms on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 3:15 PM. He passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial: St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery He is survived by his, mother, Amanda Marissa Gregoire father, Southern Dantrell Sims, Sr., sisters, Cryston Elizabeth Gregoire, half sisters, Dantra Sims, Delicia Sims, Shawntrice Outley, half brothers, Southern Sims, Jr., Dantrell Sims, Sylvester Sims, grandparents, John and Ramona Gregoire, Southern Smith, great grandfather, Edward Smith, great grandmother, Emma Poole, step great grandmother, Barbara Smith, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his, grandparents, Rosalie Sims, great grandparents, John and Enola Gregoire, Howard and Marie Parfait. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. He was a student of Bayou Blue Middle School. Tyriek was an avid sports fan. He played baseball with several teams in Houma. He was named to the Bayou Blue Middle School basketball team and just recently attended New Orleans Saints training camp where he met the coach and players. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
