Louis Julian Riche, III, 76, died Monday, August 29, 2011 at . He was a native of Napoleonville, LA and resident of Montegut, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 9:00 AM until Service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with buriaal in the church cemetery. He is survived by his, Wife of 42 years, Gayle Marie Ransonet Riche; Sons, Gerard Louis Riche and Niles Louis Riche and wife Ashley; Grandchildren, Taylor Riche, Jackson Riche, Ayden Riche and Hudson Riche and Sister in Law, Carol "Peachie" Ransonet. He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Louis Riche, II and Flore Clement Riche. He was a member/parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Louis loved life and the little things in it. His passion was caring for his family and he took great joy in spending time with his four grandchildren. Whatever it was, "Pops" could not say no. Louis served our country as a member of the U.S. Army in Germany. Longtime residents of Montegut, Louis and Gayle also loved spending time at their camp on Grand Isle. Wherever he was, his heart was in gardening, woodworking, and fishing. Louis served the community of Montegut and surrounding areas as a Notary and Justice of the Peace for many years and enjoyed the people he met and the stories they shared. He was extremely active in the Montegut Lions Club, supported the NJ Ransonet Senior Center, and many other civic organizations. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Louis J. Riche Memorial Fund at South Louisiana Bank.
