Houston J. Hebert, 82, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:43 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by one daughter, Molly Gautreaux of Houma; two grandchildren, Jeffy John Ledet and wife, Michelle, of Houma and Jody James Ledet and wife, Tammy, of Houma; and one infant great-grandchild, Richard Houston Ledet.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Louise Hebert; his parents, Felix and Eve Hebert; two brothers, Francis and Oris Hebert; and one sister, Mabel Bonvillian.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church and employed by United Gas Pipeline Comp. His favorite pass times were joking with the family, playing his lottery numbers, watching westerns on tv, listening and telling stories, and enjoying the time he had with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
