Bella Martin, 94, died Saturday, August 13, 2011. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 1:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial at Matherne Cemetery. Bella Martin is survived by her sons, Kirkland Martin and wife Nancy of Houma LA, Andrew Martin and wife Ann of Lake Charles LA, Luke Martin and wife Stella of Rock Hill South Carolina, daughter, Margie Boudreaux and husband Clay of Gray LA, daughter in law, Joyce Martin of Houma LA, 17 grandchildren, and by numerous great and great great grandchildren. Bella Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Wyatt Martin, parents, Telemac and Ernestine Matherne, son, Silas Martin, and sisters, Edith Matherne, and Jeanne LeBlanc. Bella Martin was a Godly woman who was often found in prayer.
