Walter Arceneaux

Walter Paul Arceneaux, 72, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at 6:35 AM. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Gibson, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Monday, August 1, 2011 from 9:00 AM until Service time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial in Bayou Black Cemetery. He is survived by his, Wife of 29 years, Veronica “Teetsie” Breaux Arceneaux; Sisters, Jane Roberts and Opal Marcel and husband, Maurice; Sisters and brother in law, Linda Arceneaux, Melinda “Peanut” Snyder, and Cynthia Davis and husband Nelson; God children, Bobbie Sue Foret, Marlon "Boy Blue" Domangue, Joshua Landry, and Shane Snyder; Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, Parents, George Joseph Arceneaux and Bessie Hebert Arceneaux; Brother, Alvin Arceneaux. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Ol’ Walt loved fishing and drinking with his buddies and family. He retired from Anderson Supply after 38 years of employment. The Arceneaux family would like to thank STAT Home Health and St. Joseph's Hospice for the care they have given during his final months.
