Alicelee Knoff Demmer, 80, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 4:30 AM. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 10:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park. She is survived by her, Children: Linda Demmer Sheridan and husband Dennis, Lisa Demmer O'Dell and husband Jerry and Harold Demmer, Jr and wife Loretta Grandchildren: Kelli O'Dell Mayes, Lindsey Erin O'Dell, Martin Edward Dupont, Jr, and David Douglas Dupont Great grandchildren: Harper Mayes, Baby Mayes, Landon Dupont, Amy Dupont, Trey Dupont, Coen Dupont, Evan Dupont and Mena Dupont Brother: John Filkins Knoff, Jr She was preceded in death by her, Husband: Harold Demmer, Sr Parents: John Filkins Knoff, Sr and Hilda Esther Knoff nee Brownlee She was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma. A resident of Houma for 51 years and a retired school teacher, Alicelee was active in the PTA, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts. She loved gardening and was passionate about growing and promoting Louisiana Irises. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and gourmet cooking and loved spending time with family and friends.
