I.K. "Ike" Adair, 73, a native of Brownsboro, Texas, and resident of Montegut, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from noon to funeral time Saturday at Montegut Baptist Church. Religious service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Cathern Gooch Adair of Montegut; one son, Sonny Adair of Montegut; two daughters, Becky Breaux of Houma and Carolyn "Liz" Adair of Montegut; one sister, Darlene Adair Turlington of Brownsboro; five grandchildren, Andrea Billiot, Amy Falgout, Brad Falgout, Ashley Breaux and Megan Adair; and five great-grandchildren, McKayln Angele, Cole Andrew, Seth Austin, Koby I.K. and Brennan Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Bailey Adair and Offa Elizabeth Jackson Adair.
He was a retired fishing tool supervisor with Tri State Oil Tools and a member of Montegut Baptist Church.
