David James Landry, 25, a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Sunday, July 3, 2011. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 2:00pm with Burial at Bayou Black Cemetery.. He is survived by Daughter: Zoey Landry of Raceland LA; Sister: April Landry Trahan and husband Chris of Houma LA; Nieces: Alyssa, Caitlyn, and Lexsey Trahan of Houma LA; Grandparents: Anna Faucheaux of Houma LA and Billy and Thelma Shelley of Houma LA; Great Grandmother: Lillie Shelley of Houma LA; Great Uncle: Roy Bergeron; Special aunt and uncle Cathy and Allen Roberts of Houma LA and many other numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by Parents: Donald "Duck" James and Zenobia Robin Landry; Grandfather: Vergis Landry Sr.; Step Grandfather: Anatole "Nat" Faucheaux; Great Grandfather: Doil Shelley. He was employed with Environmental Safety and Health He was a volunteer in the Bayou Black Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed playing darts and shooting pool.
