Josephine Ann Malbrough Songy, 93, died Saturday June 25, 2011 at 1:15 PM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 She is survived by her, son, Barry J. Songy, Sr. and wife Rosemary Pellegrin Songy, grandchildren, Barry Songy, Jr. and wife Tammy Pizzolato Songy, Andrew J. Songy and wife Jada Bertrand Songy, Eugene M. "Gene" Songy, Laura Songy Meyer and husband Jay Meyer, Stephanie Songy White and husband Jody White, great grandchildren, Cullen Wade Songy, Kaitlyn Oeser, Andrew J. Songy, Jr., Avery Quinn Songy, Olivia Guidry, Karoline Guidry and Jordan White, sisters, Malvina Songy, brother, Anthony "Tutty" Malbrough She was preceded in death by her, husband, Stanley R. Songy, Sr., parents, Anthony Malbrough and Malvina Chauvin Malbrough, son, Stanley R. Songy, Jr., sisters, Mary Ann Busch, Velma Myhan, Ismay Dicks, Nell Lenier, Helen Moore and Jeanette Songy She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. "Mrs. Josie" was loved and enjoyed by all because of her wonderful personality and affection for all those around. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family and was active in all things related to her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her sisters, sewing and cooking for her family. The Songy family would like to offer sincere thanks to the many caregivers at The Homestead, Bayou Home Health Care and Amedisys Hospice.
