Gerald Abel Cantrelle, 73, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011. He was a native of Raceland, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 8:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery He is survived by his, wife, Sherry Falgout Cantrelle, Houma, LA, sons, Gerald David Cantrelle and wife Sandra, Houma, LA, William “Billy” Cantrelle, Houma, LA, Shane Michael Bellanger and wife Lori, Thibodaux, LA, James Anthony Bellanger and wife Erin, Galliano, LA, daughters, Joana Cantrelle Buell and husband Scott, Milton, FL, Chantel Bellanger Danos and husband Tige, Youngsville, LA, grandchildren, Amber Arnold, Melissa Faye Ryan, Marsha Shapcotte, Kasie Buell, Scottie Armstrong, Patrick Buell, Brittany Bellagner, Kyle Bellanger, Brandi Scott, Abby Danos, Moughnay Green and Marley Bellanger nine great grandchildren, brother, Stanley Cantrelle, sister, Janice Cantrelle Windham, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brother in laws and sister in law. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Abel Alphonse Cantrelle and Effie Guidroz Cantrelle Martin, brother, Carol Cantrelle, Sr., sister, Joyce Cantrelle Marcel. He was a member/parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a retired crane operator. The family would like to thank Terrebonne General CCU and staff and also a very special thanks to Dr. Jules Dupont and staff for their many years of care and compassion. “He won’t be able to make us laugh anymore but he will have the angels in stitches.”
