Dennis Walter Huffman, 78, a native of Dunn, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 10:00am to service time on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 11:30am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., with Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by Spouse: Joan Huffman of Houma LA Sons: Walter Huffman and wife Pat of Delhi LA and Donnie Huffman and wife Brenda of Houma LA Daughters: Vickie Huffman of Houma LA and Denise Bonvillain and husband Chris of Houma LA Sisters: Louise Carter and late husband Troyce of West Monroe LA and Shirley Perkins and husband George of Grant LA 8 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren and 6 Step Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Parents: Golden Allen Huffman and Rita Mae Huffman nee Hoover Granddaughter: Shannon Nicole Huffman Brothers:Prentiss Huffman. He was a member of Annunziata Catholic Church. He retired from Exxon Mobil. Served 32 years at Terrebonne Parish Sheriffs Office. He was a member and past Master of Unity Lodge #267 in Houma LA He was also a member of Walter I Lanier Lodge #307 of Thibodaux LA. He was a member Jerusalem Shrine Temple, and member of A. W. Connely Chapter #117 Order of the Eastern Star in Houma LA. He was a member of the Houma Shrine Club.
