Leon Edward Bourgeois, 81, a native of Cut Off, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
Visitation will be from on at and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Emma LeBoeuf Bourgeois, Houma, LA,
sons, Ricky Bourgeois and wife Karen, Barry Bourgeois and wife Nancy,
daughters, Belinda Adams and husband Ritchie, Cindy Collins and husband Randy,
grandchildren, Ryan Adams, Christie Bourgeois, Clifford DeHart, Zachary Collins, Lauren Bourgeois, Torrie Bourgeois, Ricky Bourgeois, Jr. and Nikki Bourgeois,
four great grandchildren,
step sons, Stuart Dupre and wife Toni, Druis Dupre, Jr. and wife Angela, Elliott Dupre and wife Rhonda,
step daughters, Delinda LeBoeuf and husband Ray, Madelyn Dupre, Joni Bourg and husband Gaylen, Nadine Spence and companion Johnny Pardue, Danette Alario and husband Carlos,

He was preceded in death by parents, Leon Edward Bourgeois, Sr. and Martha Valentine Pitre Bourgeois,
first wife, Betty Luke Bourgeois,
one step great grandchild, Payton Spence,
step son in law, Arthur Tyrone Spence,
sisters, Lillian Brunet and Earline Pitre.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a retired boat captain and shrimper.
He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW.
He was an avid bowler.
