George Joseph Chiasson Sr., 78, a native of Lockport, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, June 10, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 8:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10:00am with Burial at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by Spouse: Joan Boquet Chiasson of Houma LA Sons: George "Buddy" Chiasson Jr. and wife Kim of Schriever LA Daughters: Roslyn Dempster of Gray LA Mary Beth "Beth" Chauvin and husband Willard Jr. "Wolf" of Gray LA Brothers: Eddie Chiasson and wife Lois of Houma LA Sisters: Mary Ann Chiasson of Lockport LA Martha Jane Plaisance and husband E.J. of Larose LA Grandchildren: Justin Chiasson Brice Chauvin Jordy Chauvin. He was preceded in death by Parents: Whitney Chiasson Enith Robichaux Chiasson Father and Mother in Law Albert Boquet Sr and wife Rose Prosperie Boquet Brothers: Infant Roy Chiasson Sisters: Infants Agnes and Mary Chiasson Son In Law: Royce Dempster. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. He was retired from Valley Supply Comp. of Houma Inc. He was an advid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church and served as a long time usher. He was a Korean War Veteran and a current member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
