Milton James Marcel, 80, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 10:19 AM. He was a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, June 10, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, wife, Shirley Hebert Marcel, Houma, LA son, Stephen Marcel and wife Ellie Marcel, daughters, Donna Luneau and husband Jerome Luneau, Suzy Greathouse and husband Sean Greathouse, grandchildren, Harley Marcel, Brandy Howell, Lyndsy Crochet, Ryan Crochet, Tyler Bourg and Kyle Bourg, great grandchildren, Mikayla Howell and Wyatt Howell, brother, Millard Marcel. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Morris Marcel and Edna Freeman Marcel, sisters, Mary Boudreaux and Mildred Fonseca. He was a member/parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. He was a Material Supervisor at Avondale and Raymond Fabricators. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
