Norma Harrington

Norma B Morrison Harrington passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 just 11 days short of her 88th birthday. She was born in Hancock County, KY on June 11, 1923 and lived in Louisville, KY until her marriage to Clifford Litherland Harrington in January, 1943. Their marriage lasted sixty-two years until his death in July, 2005. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. in Houma, LA. Graveside services will be Friday, June 3, 2011 at Old Protestant Cemetery in Lafayette, Louisiana. Norma is survived by her loving children, Pat and Mike Reddrick, Donna and Ed Lupberger and Cliff and Elizabeth Harrington. Her grandchildren are Kate Harrington, Beau and Beth Harrington, Isaac and Sophia, Coogan Ryan and ZiZi and James Yockey. Her great grandchildren are Claire Ryan, Luke Ryan, Edie Yockey and Ryan Yockey. Norma loved her family and creating a beautiful home. She was a willing volunteer as a leader for Cub Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, Y-Teens, PTA, Band Sponsors and the Presbyterian Church. She spent many, many happy hours at the camp, the “Norma B”, fishing, traveling with Cliff in their travel trailer and entertaining family and friends. The family would like to thank her caregivers at the Homestead and her special helpers, Irma, Dee, Linda, Liza and Denise. She will be missed by her family and friends and her sweet Yorkie, “Sammi”. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to French Camp Academy, One Fine Place, French Camp, MS 39745-9703 or the charity of your choice.
