Katherine Marie Newsom, 93, a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Thursday, May 26, 2011. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 8:00am to 10:00am on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 30, 2011 at 10:00am with Burial at St. Elie Cemetery. She is survived by Sons: Michael Oliver Tucker and wife Carla of Kingwood of TX Step Son: William Newsom III and wife Nancy of Bayou Blue LA Step Daughter: Judith Pree of Pearland TX Grandchildren: Lisa Domingue Orr Little Becker Ricardo Oliver Domingue Amanda Tucker Ramirez Jeremy Michael Tucker Great Grandchildren: Thomas Wayne Orr Aaron Kyle Orr Patricia Little Musacchia Brandy Rene Becker Donald Wayne Becker Jr. Crystal Domingue Blanchard Chelsey Marie Domingue Addison Claire Ramirez Survived by many great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Spouse: William H Newsom Jr. Parents: John Duplantis Marie Hebert Duplantis Daughter: Patricia Ann Tucker Domingue Terrebonne Brothers: Hubert Joseph Duplantis Easton Celestine Duplantis Elwin Joseph Duplantis Lewellyn Joseph Duplantis John Roy Duplantis Sisters: Iola Josephine Duplantis Belanger MayBelle Marie Duplantis Wiltz Norma Duplantis Dale Bournias. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Kate served as past state and city as secretary for the Louisiana Women?s Bowling Association. She was a member of the Krewe of Hycinathians and Stinkers Organization. We would like to thank Victoria DeHart for her care given to Aunt Kate during her time of need.
