James “Jim” Joseph Walker, 75, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:50 AM. He was a native of Bourg, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Ann Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church with burial following at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Janet Gaspard Walker, children, James J. Walker, M.D. and wife Stephanie D. Walker, Brewton, AL, David J. Walker and wife Pam Walker, Lafayette, LA, Sandra W. Vedros and husband Gerard A. Vedros, Houma, LA, Stephanie W. Johnson and husband Jeffrey L. Johnson, Baton Rouge, LA, grandchildren, Leigh Walker, Jonathon Walker, Alyson Walker, Victoria Walker, Emily Vedros, Andrew Vedros, Jake Johnson, Molly Johnson, Lauren Matt, Brock May, great granddaughter, Ashley Matt, great grandson, James Vedros Elliott, sister, Patricia W. Reid, Lafayette, LA He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Joseph Walker and Pearl Ellender Walker, brothers, Walter "Bill" Walker, Kenneth "Ken" Walker, Bernard "Ben" Walker, sisters, Marge W. Chauvin, Elda "Pete" W. Hurley He retired from a long career in the Oil field. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
