Barry James Blackwell, 58, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 2:41 AM. He was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with burial following at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. Survived by: wife, Debbie Maricelli Blackwell, son, Brad Blackwell, daughters, Gina Blackwell Trahan and husband Michael, Kara Blackwell, grandchildren, Hannah, Kaylee and Hunter Trahan, brothers, Robert "Bobby" Blackwell, Jr., Bernard "Beanie" St. Martin, Willard "Will" St. Martin, Dr. William "Bill" St. Martin and Roy St. Martin, Jr. Preceded in death by: mother, Jeanne Theriot St. Martin, stepfather, Dr. Roy St. Martin, Sr., brother, Leon St. Martin Barry was the current manager of the Waterworks District No. 1. He was the past Terrebonne Parish Manager and worldwide general manager of Universal Ogden. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, family and friends and was loved by many and will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to your favorite charity.
