Floyd Joseph Collins, 84, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Dulac, LA died Saturday, May 14, 2011, surrounded by loved ones.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 9:00am to 11:00am on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Military Services will be held at 10:30 am.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:00am with Burial at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
He served his country as a PVT in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 390th Anti Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion in Germany.
He was a loving husband of 63 1/2 years and father of four who supported his family as a commercial fisherman his entire life on his pride and joy, motor vessel, “Miss Barbara”.
He was a co-founder in 1951 and life member of V.F.W. Post 4752, Dulac, where he served numerous years as Post Commander, Home Committee, Building Committee and Bingo Committee and All State Post Quarter Master, caretaker of the Post.
He was also a member of the Grand Caillou Volunteer Fire Department.
His hobbies included making a garden, watching boxing, baseball, bull riding rodeos, riding his bicycle backwards, rocking and singing babies to sleep, and spoiling his loved ones.
