Donald D. Moore, 64, a native of Village, Ark., and resident of Houma, died at 6:58 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Louis Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Lawrence Moore of Houma; two sons, Donald "Robbie" Moore and Christopher "Chris" Moore and wife, Kathy, of Bayou Blue; one daughter, Penny Moore Lafitte and husband, Donny Lafitte, of Youngsville; and five grandchildren, Brock Lafitte, Lance Lafitte, J.D. Moore, Tori Moore and Elise Lafitte.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. Moore and Inez Duncan Moore; and two brothers, James Ainsworth and John Moore.
He was a pipe-recovery specialist with Wood Group for more than 21 years and a past employee of N.L. McCulla for more than 19 years.
