Harry Paul Crochet, 92, a native of Morgan City and resident of Houma, died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 10:15 AM
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home.
Liturgy of the Word will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial following at Magnolia Cemetery.
He is survived by his
son, Donald H. Crochet and wife Lois, daughter-in-law, Mary Crochet Doise and husband Wayne, grandson, Alan Crochet and wife Nicole, granddaughters, Kelly Thames Wutzke and husband Justin, Lauren Tate and husband Michael, great granddaughters, Bailey Thames and Riley Tate and great grandsons, Alex Authement and Dylan Tate and special friend, Mary Duplantis.
He was preceded in death by his
wife Rita Badeaux Crochet, parents, Henry Clay and Melodia Gaspard Crochet, son, David Paul Crochet, four sisters, Dorothy Crochet, Lydia (Lloyd) O'Neal, Shirley Smith and Wilma Rhodes and one half brother Myer Pisani.
Harry was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked as a motor tank salesman for Exxon for many years. His hobbies were building purple martin houses and gardening.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Heritage Manor Nursing Home, activities department.
