Ruth Giardina

Ruth P. Cambre Giardina, 86, a resident of Houma, peacefully past away on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. She is survived by her son, John Cambre, Houma, LA daughters, Marion Jukes and husband Carlisle, Houma, LA, Brenda Picou and husband Robert, Alabaster, AL, grandchildren, Sharon Guidry and husband Allen, Annette Salmons and husband Jim, Bobby Picou and wife Bridgette, Billy Picou, Kelly Jukes and Eric Jukes, MD, great grandchildren, Michael, Haven, Jamie, Brandon, Christina, Allie, Peyton and Brianna, great great grandchildren, Miley and Tyler, sister, Betty McKey and three granddogs, Buford, Coco and Max. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Giardina and O'Neil Cambre, parents, Horace Peavy and Florence Morton Peavy, sisters, Myrtle Ashley and Mary Wilson and brother, James Peavy. She was a homemaker and parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. The family would like to thank everyone at Haydel Medical and Surgical Clinic and special thanks to Haydel Memorial Hospice and Physicians Alliance Hospital for making her last days so peaceful. The family requests no flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, The American Heart Association or The East Houma Lion's Club.
