Bret Clifford Dryden, 51, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Friday, April 29, 2011.
Visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., and Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 9:00 am service time at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Alison Labat Dryden; one son, Brandon Dryden and wife Bligh; one daughter, Kayla Dryden Guidry and husband Nicholas; two grandchildren, Kenleigh Dryden and Kate Guidry; his parents,Jack Dryden and Diane King Dryden; two brothers, Fritz Dryden and wife Denise, and Mark Dryden; two sisters, Dana Dryden Poiencot and husband Andrew, and Dena Dryden Roy and husband Mark; two godchildren Jennifer Dryden Bent and Blake Dryden, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Dryden McElroy; and his grandparents, Vernal and Hazel Marcel King and Wallace and Alice Klingman Dryden.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
He was employed by Quality Shipyard.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle and friend. He enjoyed and loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
