Sidney Scott Simmons, 40, a native of LaPlace, LA and a resident of Gray, LA died Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.and Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 8:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.
Services will be Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with burial at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Baker, Louisiana.

nieces, Kristen Ott and husband Curtis, Melissa Holt and husband Jonathan, Michelle Hunter and husband Hogan, Marie Smith, Jessica Simmons,
girlfriend, Lanie Verdin and her children, Logan, Alaina, Makayla and Alaya.

brother in law, Donald Smith.
He worked for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office for sixteen years starting off in corrections. He then became a patrol deputy and a sergeant in the K-9 division, and was then promoted to shift commander. He had a short stay in the crime lab and from there went to the Narcotics Division. He was currently working for the Thibodaux Police Department.
He served in the Marine Corps and was the president and founding member of the Brothers in Blue Motorcycle Club. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was an avid University of Alabama fan.
