Linda Pitre

Linda Gail Rosser Pitre, a native of Sanford, N.C. and resident of Houma, died Sunday, April 24th, 2011. She was surrounded by loving family and friends. She was the loving wife of Glynn Pitre and mother of Jay and Brian Whitaker. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 26, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Wednesday April 27, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial following at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her husband Glynn Pitre; two sons James (Jay) Whitaker, wife Shelly and Brian Whitaker; two grandsons, Jake Whitaker and Tyler Whitaker; one granddaughter Morgan Whitaker; mother Inez Wallace Rosser; three brothers, Grayson (Hobo) Rosser and wife Tersia, James (Timmy) Worthy Rosser III and Donald Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In-laws Floyd and Carmel Pitre; brother in law Richard Pitre; sister in law Barbara Pitre Liner. She was preceded in death by her father James Worthy Rosser II; sisters Diane Rosser Norton and Kaye Davis; brother Larry Davis. Linda was a licensed cosmetologist. She loved to shop and spend time with family and friends.
