Horis Joseph Caro, 89, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 3:50 PM. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, April 25, 2011 from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial following at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. Survived by: son, Jerry Caro and wife Terri, grandchildren, James Caro and wife Melissa Caro, Beth Caro White and husband Tommy White, Natalie Caro Franco and husband Peter Franco, Peter Caro and wife Donna Caro and Amanda LeRay, great grandchildren, Jacob Delaune and wife Shea, Taylor Caro, Brianna Caro, Kandice Francis and husband Ray Francis, Jr., Philip Franco, Neomie Franco, Brittney Caro, Blake Caro, Christopher Caro, Ramsey Caro and Alyssa Stanley, great great grandchildren, Kenzi Francis, Austin Wallace and Shealee Wallace Preceded in death by: wife, Nellie Daigle Caro and parents, Madio Peter Caro and Neomie Cadiere Caro. Horis was a retired farmer and owner of Caro Produce and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. The family would like to thank his longtime caregiver, Patricia Larabee and caregiver, Arlene Verdin, the doctors, hospitals, home health care and hospice who aided in his care.
