Merlin James Martin, 65, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA died Friday, April 15, 2011. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 9:00pm on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 9:00am to service time on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chauvin, LA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 11:00am st St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chauvin, LA with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Chauvin, LA. He is survived by brother, Sterling Martin and wife Susan Martin of Bayou Blue LA; sisters, Rosaline Martin of Houma LA, Linda Nell Rodriguez and Steve Rodriguez of Houma LA, Cynthia Bourg and husband Rodney Bourg of Houma LA, Pamela Ann Martin of Houma LA and Rhonda Dunn and husband Stacy Dunn of Houma LA. He was preceded in death by parents, William Joseph Martin and Doris Theresa Authement Martin. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a Self Employed Boat Captain.
