Chris James Authement, 55, a native of , LA and resident of Gibson, LA died Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 9:00am to 11:00am on Friday, April 15, 2011 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 11:00am. Burial will be private. He is survived by Sons: Chris Authement of Gibson LA and Jake Authement of Gibson LA; Daughters: Rachel Authement of Gibson LA Hessie Authement Cox of Houma LA and Christin Authement of Gibson LA; Sisters: Joni Authement Broussard and husband Dan Broussard of Gulfport MS.,Carole Authement Duval of Gibson LA., Fay Authement Kurkjy of Lexington KY. and Anne Authement of Gibson LA. Grandchildren:Carlynn Henr, Jasmine Donaho, Paige Donahoe, Briley Cox and Bryden Cox. He was preceded in death by Parents: Joseph Yves Authement and Mar Mae McIntire Authement; Sister: Margaret Authement Rodrigue. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church
