Kenneth “Canoe” John Domangue, Sr., 68, a native and resident of Houma, LA died Friday, March 18, 2011 at 5:20 PM.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at Maria Immaculata Catholic Church
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 1:00 PM
at Maria Immaculata Catholic Church
with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Survived by his wife of 45 years Bonnie Theriot Domangue,
son, Kenneth John Domangue, Jr. and wife Leslie,
daughters, Kayla Landry and husband Eric, Kathy Mazarac and husband Keith, Kami Babin and husband Brandon,
grandchildren, Kenneth John Domangue, III, Alexander Domangue, Brendan Landry, Kameron Mazarac, Keith Mazarac, Jr., Emma Babin, Brant Babin,
brothers, Daniel Domangue, Barry Domangue, Kern Domangue, and
sister, June LeCompte.
Preceded in death by:
parents, Paul Joseph Domangue and Josephine Samaha Domangue.
He worked for Texaco for 34 years until his retirement.
He was a parishioner of Maria Immaculata Catholic Church
He served in the United States Marine Corps during peacetime.
He attended LSU where he received his standard firemen's training. He was a firemen for the Houma Fire Company.
He graduated from St. Francis de Sales boy's school in 1961 and excelled in football and baseball.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and after he retired he became an avid golfer. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
