Wilbert “Shus” Paul Trahan, 85, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 5:30 PM. He was a native and resident of, Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial following in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Annie Clement Trahan, daughters, Darlene Davis and husband Henry, Jeanne Trahan and companion Mitch Veillon brothers, Edward Trahan, John Trahan, sister, Rosalita Cunningham, grandchildren, Paul Trahan and wife Janelle, Brad Trahan and wife Kim, Jon Trahan, Jeremy Davis, Olivia Davaine and husband Jaromy and Amanda Davis, great grandchildren, Austin, Lani, Angelle and Ashley Trahan, Taylor and Bryant Davaine and Peyton Pellegrin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Baptiste Trahan and Helen Lirette Trahan, daughter, Grace Trahan, sons, Roger Trahan, Manuel Trahan and wife Stella Gautreaux Trahan, brothers, Aaron Trahan, Wiley Trahan, Gildy Trahan, Justillian Trahan sisters, Viley White, Theresa Lirette and Lydia Thibodaux He was a retired fisherman and parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family would like to thank Dr. Fadi Abou-Issa, Journey Hospice, the staff at Terrebonne General Medical Center, Dr. Stagg and CIS.
